Definitely use the smaller dispsies if that is all the deeper you want to go. I'd go with 20# Powerpro (30# for the bigger dipsies) for the mainline and 5' to 7' leader behind the dipsy with 20# fluorocarbon. The leader side connection to the dipsey already has a swivel so all you should need is a small snap (I prefer black) to connect your spoon, shallow crank or harness to. If you do find yourself with a twisted leader, then I'd go up to a small black ball bearing swivel but I never found the need to use one. Keep your drags as loose as possible because this is a no/low stretch set-up. If you think you might get into steelies or some bruiser eyes, you may want to go with the small snubber to take up some of the shock of a powerful hit to help prevent ripped lips (more common) or break-offs (less commmon).

Six ft leader is plenty. Use a fluorocarbon if you have clear water and if its stained water then any clear mono will work. I use 12lb main line from the rod to the dipsey and 12 lb leader. Some guys like braid or fireline for main line. Hope this helps!

I use big dipsies all the time in 20=30 ftw. there has been a ton of dipsy discussions on here, do a search and you'll get a lot of info.
