Tried out new 90 merc on crest 1650 seemed alittle fast for
walleyes ( even backtrolling ) is there a site for info on these
I am trying not to buy a transom elec. have bowmount , just wondering if socks are a pain or work well ... Thanks DMA

If you are back trolling, a single drift sock off the bow works best. Size needed will always depend on how much wind you are dealing with. If you are just trying to slow yourself down under calm conditions, then a smaller sock will do the job. If it's windy you are going to need something larger.
