I am going to lake St. Claire for the first time next week. I am going with someone whom has been there before, but I welcome any advice. This is basically my first Muskie trip.

Boat wise I should be set. I have a Lund Pro-v 2025 which has about every accessory you can install on it. I am curious if I should buy a chip for my Lowrance. I do have two x-26hd's and they have preloaded maps, but I have not checked to see if St. Claire is included.

Thanks,

Brent

I suggest you get a Canadian fishing licence and you can get that also at Lakeside bait and tackle order it ahead of time so you can have it sent to your house or pick up when you get there..

Here is a good online mape of the lake which is great to look at before the trip

I would suggest any Canadian waters at the southern shore of the lake like the bell river hump and a bunch others.. You also have the dumping grounds which is in American waters and along the shipping channel by the Saint Clair light and so forth, I have talked to so many guys that have hook up muskie pulling harnesses for walleye, I think the fish are pretty active right now..

My buddy belongs to the MOMC which is the michigan Ontario muskie club and I will see if I can a report for you.. Here is my e-mail give me a shout a day before you come Slickfishing@sbcglobal.net Cya Slick
