I'm not sure if this made it to the board yet but I just received a 2002 Lowrance catalog and the X-15's (and similar units) are now WAAS enabled. I spoke to Lowarnce and they should be shipping them to retailers in March. West Marine already has them listed in their catalog as well. I'm hoping to buy mine as soon as they hit the stores.

My 2002 Lowrance catalog says WAAS reception enabled with addition of optional LGC-12W receiver/antenna and system software upgrade. I don't have a price on how much more that will cost.

YUP, THAT'S THE KEY FACTOR.... HOW MUCH? WHAT DO WE GOTTA PAY TO GO FROM 30 METERS TO 10 METERS?

I talked with LEI Extras today (2/25). WAAS enabled X-15 units will start shipping in two weeks. There will be a software update available on the web for the older units that will enable WAAS, allow GPS speed on the sonar chart, and simplify the GPS waypoint menu (less keystrokes).

For current X-15's you will have to exchange your GPS receiver antenna for a WAAS capable one and update your software. I'm unsure of the additional cost for the new receiver.
