View Full Version : Rainy river vs. Bay of quinte?

The family and I are planning on going to bay of quinte (picton bay) or rainy river (near baudette) october 17-21. Have not been to either but have heard great things about both. What would be our best shot at a 10 pounder at this time of the year? Thanks

Bay of Quinte, however, those dates, fish will probably still be coming in and may not be on the bite yet. Check out Quintefishing.com discussion board.

Considering the Bay of Quinte and Rainy River are 23 hours apart by car or truck you are looking at different fisheries.
If you like to open water troll the great lakes for suspended walleye then Quinte is your best bet. If you are a river angler that leans toward jigging, I would figure Rainy River would be the best bet.
