I will be fishing on Silver Lake (Wyoming County) NY, the weekend of Oct. 12th, and have not fished that lake in over 25 years.

We will be fishing for panfish (perch), northerns, and possibly walleye. I plan to launch at the State Park ramp. The boat is equipped with a fishfinder, and a mapping GPS (w/ Navionics map of Silver Lake).

Help / advice please, as far as:
what areas to target,
what are the hot techniques / set ups,
and what lures / bait are hot.

Thanks for your help.

T-Man...I have fished it a bit for walleye. The #'s are down right now. Work the north west and north east shores around 20-22' on bottom with bouncers or 3 colors of lead. If that dosent go pull baits in the 20-25' depth in the deepest section which is about 32-36'. I will be up there (Silver Lake Marine) soon to get the boat winterized. :(
