Gulp and rigging

has anyone used the gulp 3"leaches(10 or12 in a pack) for rigging??

Dave... for where you want to use them ;)...I think they will just lay on the bottom in the current. What triggers those hawgs when using a rig, is that big leech(or two) swimming... undulating...struggling... upward ...off the bottom. Sooo easy to inhale!!

Behind a spinner or casting... is where the Gulp leeches work.

TM you are right in your thinking:cheers: ...that is what i thought i would be told. I ask because I find it almost if not totally imposable to find any good(big/jumbo) leaches in the fall/late fall. I have tryed buying and keeping good care!! of them but come sept they start to die. Thought about getting a pound of jumbos in the spring, and hope enough make it into the late fall. What do the Vanity guys do I wonder.??

Buy them early in the spring,
change water twice a week
use rain water that is kept in a fridge
I use large shallow tuperware containers and only have one inch water in the leeches so that they can breath
I am still fishing with jumbo leeches I bought in late may

Lancerrr....thanks for the info. I have been keeping them in the firg. with about 4" of water. I have been using tap water that was allowed to sit in the fig. for a few days before use. This is not good enough I guess.:fishhit: Can you tell me what temp. you keep the fig. at thanks.

I still like the action of my plastics in cold water better "BUT" (c n' p from a email to a fishin' bud)I still use the same jigs/plastic in cold water, but add a sliver of Gulp instead of dipping into Fish Formula II Shad.
