I have a 520 c on the dash of my angler 1860 but it is hard to read running in split mode.. Was wondering what you guys think I could add ? Could I purchase another 520c and tie into my other lowrance and run 1 in sonar and the other in gps?
I would like to have a bigger gps screen or chart plotter? The 520 does a good job in Sonar but as I have started to age it's harder to read the screen..
As far as a budget I woould like to stay under a grand if possible..
Any suggestions out there??
Thanks

Maybe just score a Lowrance global map unit that's just a dedicated chartplotter/gps only and put it next to your current fishfinder instead of buying another combo unit. That way you could just run your sonar in full screen and have the full screen chartplotter side by side. I think you could get one of those for about $600 or so.

I would look into the Eagle gps/sonars. You will save some money and they work just as good. If you want just a sonar I'd lean towards Lowrance, but for GPS then Eagle.

I have the same unit built in the dash on my 1850 and added my older 25hd on a ram mount above the 520. Works well and I can see it from the back of the boat when the kids take over the captains seat.
Now to get another for the bow.

Thanks for the suggestions.. I have started to price the lowrance 7200 chartplotter. Best deal I found $675 with the external antennae. I know the smart thing to do will be to wait till spring. I would like to stay with Lowrance ,been using em for years and gotten use to the key pads(lazy I guess)..But I hate to turn down a good deal..

Seems like Cabelas has been sending me coupons for $100 off $500 purchases as quick as the postman can deliver them. I paid $699, but took $100 off with a coupon.

Coop...you saw the picture quality of my Raymarine C-80. Raymarine now has an A-60 combination fishfinder/GPS out which you can get at the site noted above at a wonderful price. Well worth considering.
