Just read the Denver Post, Kevin was fishing from boat at Boulder Res. and fell from boat which was under way, another boat went to area but could not find Kevin, was not wearing life jacket, I sure hope this is not Kevin/co.

Oh man! I never even put that together as I watched the news last night? I know kevin fishes out of a small boat. The victims boat looked like it was about 12 feet long and all unpainted metal. They interviewed a friend of the victim and he was probably in his late 40s to early 50s. I don't remember Kevin ever talking about Boulder Resevoir, do you guys?

I too hope this was not Kevin/Co. Regardless, this should be a reminder to all of us to always wear a life jacket when under power, and maybe at all times in the winter.I sank a boat in February with water temps in the 40's.A blue norther came in and caught me by surprise, and if it had not been for another fisherman and the fact my boat kept floating(upside down) I would not be writing this.I had my life jackets around the seats but when the wave came over the top I had no time to even grab the vest. When a boat swamps it happens so fast there is no time for anything. We were in the water for 10 minutes and did not even have the strength to pull ourselves into the rescue boat.I was one of the lucky ones!

the Denver Post stated I believe in his 50's, and quoted his friend as being a very experienced fisherman.

That wouldn't be Kevin/CO? He is a Senior in High School I believe? I have read hundreds of his posts and have never once heard him mention Boulder Res.

My intentions were not to alarm anyone. Regardless of who it is, its a bad deal. Just never know which fishing trip will be the last.

Thoughts and prayers to whomever it is.

Like you said Dave, it is a terrible tragedy no matter who it was!!

I just wish Kevin would post, so we knew for sure it wasn't him.

Sorry guys but I am still alive and kicking. You were close tho Neal I am a junior in HS but I take a full senior class load. We have never fished boulder but plan too soon. I have though been in water around 35 and let me tell you it would take me down sooner or later but last time I lasted for 38 minutes in full clothes before I could get my water logged butt out. I am still just fine but thanks for caring guys. PS we fish a 16ft john boat.
