Anyone have a small jig rod recommendation? I am going to use the rod to toss untipped 1/16 ounce jigs for white bass. I was looking at the St Croix Premier 6'6" light rod. I will have to order pretty much any rod I choose, any recommendations are welcome.

If this is not too long for you.......
I use the the 86L-2, I know its rated for 3/16 to 1/2oz but I cast the 1/16 jig without a problem. I use it for LargeMouth Bass.....load the rod up and they don't stand a chance.:-)

Loomis Spin Jig rods in the 00 power class are one of my absolute favorites for small jigs. With a rating of 1/64 - 1/8 ounce they'll sling a 1/16 ounce jig a long way. Nice light tip with a more than adequate butt section to handle those fish.
Steppin up to a 0 power rod would be my second choice.

I like the Rapala rods. Have recently purchased several of differing lengths and actions. They run around a 100 bucks and seem to be well made. Use an ultra-lite seven footer for slinging the lite stuff with 4# XL and a lite Shimano reel. Fun action. Tight lines,,,,,,,,always.

I am going to look at the Loomis Spin Jig. A semi local dealer has them in stock. I really appreciate the input.

Check out the Loomis SJR 6400 imx. It is a blast to fish and the Mag-light power is sweet. I would avoid St. croix light action for jigs too whippy for jigging IMO,(great for crankbaits and rigging) If you go st. croix i would go with med light power avid in your desired length.
