Whats the word on these rods? They are 25% off and am thinking about getting a few of the two piece planner baords rods for trolling. 25% plus free gander bucks to use I can get four rods for 60$, I don't think I can go wrong.

I know a few guys that use them, and like them. Can't go wrong at that price.

I am the proud owner of six of these rods, 4 planner board 8 1/2 ft. Med. action, 2 dipsey rods 9 ft. Med. Heavy action. The planner board rods work very well and have for three years with zero problems. The dipsey rods work well but I wish the butt section was a little longer for fighting king salmon. Again, zero problems with them. I think that you will like them as much as I do. Merry Christmas!

I have two Guide Series casting rods and I think they are great. My next rod will also be a Guide Series if can find the type, length and action I want and if the prices and sales events stay about the same.

I have 8 guide series rods, 6 telescopers and 2 two piece, you can't go wrong even without the discount, the only rods I run for pulling boards, no compliants and for the money you do get a two yr warranty.

I don't have much experience with them, however I did purchase one downrigger guide series rod last summer and it snapped bringing a 12 lb. salmon to the net in a tournament (still landed the fish). It was the first fish I had with that rod. Yes, I was putting the berries to it pretty good.
Gander replaced it with store credit with no problems.
