Rubber bands work great plus less resistance going through the water than the clip

Weight with an eye, half hitch rubber band to weight, half hitch rubber band to line.

Kevin...I'm SO glad I got a great deal on lots of tackle a few years ago from a guy that 'said' he was never going to need it. :)

Thanks Kevin! Be sure to check out Perchjerkers site for bouncers and weights. Also, Terroreyes here does some awesome custom painting of lures, that is if you saved any to paint!

Did you keep your boat or are you in the boat market also?

Ok so I understand how you attach the weight. When you rig it is it close enough to your leader that it doesn't need to be removed? If not then are you just cutting or breaking it off when you need to remove it quickly?

Sometimes rigged close enough that you don't need to remove it to net the fish, and if rigged farther away then you simply stop reeling for a second and snap the rubber band when bringing the rod in. Takes less time than removing an inline planar board. Real simple.
