I have a set of four that are downrigger rods. We've never had a problem with them at all. For the money I think they are a pretty good deal. I've never looked at any of their other rods in that series but the ones I have are winners in my opinon.

I have one in the 8'6" length, and like it, good rod for the money. That said, it doesn't come close to the St. Croix Tidewater TIC76MM for trolling.

I have 6 of them. I liked them from the start and never felt like I was missing out on anything. They are great trolling rods for little $$.

I have a bunch of the 8.5 footers and just two of the longer 9+ footers.

Not sure what your needs are for the longer rods for general trolling but in my boat I use my two long rods like outriggers and run bottom bouncers on them straight out from the sides of the boat. In rough water I can run two rods straight back behind the long rods and have 4 rods in the water with no tangles before I even consider boards etc

For planer board rods - I use the Heartland 8.5 downrigger rods and think they are a steal for the $$. The longer Heartland rods are a little stout for my liking for walleyes and really have been sent to salmon season for dipseys - I do run the long rods as described above but really prefer a lighter action rod - I use a 9' eagleclaw graphite rod.

I use Heartland 9'6" for dipsys and 8'6" for riggers(L.Ont salmon)
and like others have mentioned, you can't go wrong with the price ,
but regardless of the price they are great rods IMO.
