Will Diawa's 27's hold 4 colors of segmented leadcore and plenty of backing? Would like to know what reel sizes you guys are using for 3,4,5 & colors of segmented leadcore.
Thanks!!

yes a 27 will hold 4 colors with plenty of backing. i used to use ambassadeur 5000 and 5500 reels with 3 colors and enough backing.
For walleye the 27 would be ok for 2-3 sections of core, but the 47s,and or 320GT's or any real of similar size would be your best option. The 320 will hold up to 10 colors if you need it with plenty of backing using 20lb fireline or spiderwire stealth. These reals would be great with the shorter 5-3 sections of core. Because leadcore is not just a means to achieve depth, but also a stealth aproach to skittish fish, it is often used in combo with boards to take it out away from the boat. This is were plenty of backing is the way to go.
