Picked up these 2 on river the same day, 10.5 and 10.3 eyes, it is a nice day when a 24" fish is small. Click on the photo link.

I was pumped they had some girth to those girls.
Nothing like catching them on light spinning tackle and jigs and shallow water.
I also caught a 24" and a 25" to go with those 2

Got a PM if I released these fish yes they where, and all others over 18", kept some 16" sauger for the table.
I have to commend the fisherman on the Mississippi River has beacome a unwritten trophy catch and release fishery, the biggest weight so far this year is 14#+, and guess whatit is still swimming.

Yah Dustin knows his stuff, I went out with him last fall and learned alot, so I figured a spring fling would be fun, and again he shortend the learning curve. Had no intention in getting a big one, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut or two. I brought my son with hoping he would latch into a big one but he did not.
Nothing like a hands on tutorial. He is a really nice guy.
BTW my WONDERFUll better half asked me what I wanted for bday, I said how about a guide trip, and she delivered and then some.
