I always have both in my boat. You might think if your fishing big water that the 400 Rip shads are to small, thats not true. I have done well on the 400 series even in 80 FOW on the eastern end of Lake Erie. The Rip sticks are evry versital. Long lined down to 10' deep or used on lead core, dipseys, snap weights, or other methods to achieve deeper diving depths. I'd get some of each to start and increase your tackle as you can.

Thanks Dan
Two very different profiles and very different actions in the water. If you want to mimic a forage in the system your fishing then choose the model that does it. If no forage preference, then choose between the tight, digging action of the Ripshad or the more open, less aggressive wobble action of the Ripstick.. Don't forget to have a few Deep Little Rippers on hand to get the best of both worlds..

kickback, On Lake Sharpe and Oahe I have had very good luck on the Deep Little Rippers and 200 series Rip Shads. For some reason I haven't done that well with the larger 400 Rip Shads. Eriedescent should definitely be in your in boat, as far as colors go.
