Why use a mono leader with Spider Wire?

This question pertains to fishing heavy cover with Spider Wire Stealth 30 lb line.

Why use a mono leader with Spider Wire? You want the strength to drag your lure through slop and you dont want to break off. Doesn't the leader become week link in this sort of rig?

No reason to use a leader!!

The 30 lb spider wire is about the same size as 8 lb mono and thus really presents no vis problems to spook fish.

I never use a leader either.

Only reason I have ever heard is on crystal clear lakes trolling.

Just like Chad said, the only reason would be under clear water conditions!! Rather its trolling or jigging!!
