I have a new boat, and the hub's have a perminent cover on the hub. I've had no trouble, but are these a sealed hub from the factory? I've looked at the grease inside, and they're ok. Do you pull the bearing's and all out to re-grease? Help. This is a Lund "Angler" with a EZ Loader trailer.

Yes, it should be done in the fall before you put her away. What can happen is from driving, heat is created in the hub. When you back the boat in, the sudden temperature change can cause a negitave pressure in the hub, drawing water past your axle seals. You may never know unless you take them apart. Then if you leave the moisture in there all winter, come spring a nasty suprise will be waiting for you. Dont just pull the outer grease cap off, the water usually enters from the inside.
I would look into either bearing buddys or the liqui-lube hub system.
