Does anyone know roughly how many leeches would be in a pound? Trying to compare the cost of leeches to a flat of crawlers and having a friendly disagrement.:-)

It really depends on how large they are. Kind of like buying shrimp, the smaller they are the more you get per the pound. I would guess crawlers are cheaper.

Don't forget that you can usually catch more than 1 fish on a leech,Ive caught as many as five fish on a leech but an average is probably 2-3 fish. When I use crawlers its usually 1 fish and the crawler has had it. Good Luck W.W.

there you have it, that man knows the numbers. worms are a better deal. when the fish are on the bite, you can use half worms.
