Kind of a odd question, but does anyone know what size split rings are on a Rapala Shad Rap #5? I need some new split rings on a bunch of my cranks but I'm unsure as to what size these are, I can't remember every buying split rings. Also, do the sizes get larger as the number goes up? Is a #4 larger then a #3? Thank you.

I cant fid the catalog but I think bass pro actually has a size chart in their mag. They do for swivels.

Also look at Stamina Tackle:
http://www.staminainc.com/plugs_hardware/split_rings.html

They have a very nice selection of lure components. Check out their shad body plug selection- you'll find recommendations for split ring and hook size for their plug blanks, which should directly translate to similar size Rapalas.

And, yes, in split rings, a #4 is bigger than a #3. :-)

I have had terrible service from Stamina. I had a few things on backorder for months, they never even notified me of the problem, I never did get the stuff and ended up cancelling it

I get my stuff from Janns www.jannsnetcraft.com

they have a sizing chart you can print out with the actual sizes so you can just lay one of your old split rings on the chart and pick the exact size.

I've had good service from Stamina, but it's been 2 years since my last order. Maybe things have changed there?

Barlow's is another one you may wish to get on your catalog list. Great selection of bulk plastics, hooks, jigs, molds, and assorted stuff you can't readily find in most retail shops.

I had stuff on backorder twice from them and never did get the stuff or a estimate when it would be available. Other times they were just slower than any other place I ordered from

So I took my biz elsewhere where I got better service.
