anyone got any go-to colors the wanna share and blade size? i fish a larger river that is some what not clear water
Dirty water, dirty or dark colors.
Clear water, shiny, or bright colors.
Start with about a #3 and go up or down from there.
Take care

I love orange when the water warms up.. but in spring charchroose is the real killer.
Ultra clear water, i like hammered silver and coppers.

I've always had luck matching the forage. Find out the main food source on the lake, and match that color.

I fish the great lakes allot and bigger blades produce better for me. #5 deep cup colorados are my mainstay, but i do well on 4's and 6's in standard or deep cup versions. In addition i use allot of Indiana blades...3-5's work great for me.
When the water is dirty or stained i like bright colored beads or blades like chart., orange or pink, but blade patterns with gold or white produce for me as well in these circumstances.
