Do saugeyes spawn on thier own and also will they cross with a walleye or a sauger/saugeye in the following years?

Yes saugeyes spawn on their own, yes they can cross with both species, no I don't think anyone will be producing 75/25 crosses as it's pointless, they got everything they wanted and more out of the saugeye cross. :)

Yes, I have read here several times that Saugeye spawn, but logic tells me that might not be the case. If they did, then there would not be the natural "pure" strains of walleye and sauger any more, just the same as "pure" cutthroat trout start to disappear when rainbows get into their streams. You would have a lot more natural Saugeye in places like the Missouri system which has both occuring naturally.
