I received my Packmaster GT300 today, after a 6 week wait, and I am a little disappointed. While setting up the stand, one of the pins on the movable step came out sending me crashing down to the next fixed step. The steps are somewhat loose and the pins appear to only slide into the main support 3/16 - 1/4 inches. In my opinion, the pins should seat in at least 1/2". On the top movable step the pin pulled out altogether and the spring tension broke. Now the pin pushes all the way into the main support. It is now my safest step but with no spring tension or lip it will fall out walking to my stand!
I called the factory and told them my concerns in regards to safety and they "noted" it. As well, it appears other folks are having the same issue with the breaking pins as they knew exactly what I was talking about. Although they had none in stock, they said they would send me out a few whan they got in. I guess they are anticipating me breaking a few more pins.

Does anyone else have this stand and are they experiencing the same issues? I am thinking about calling Bass Pro and shipping it back for credit.
