Does anyone have any blueprints for constructing a tower box blind out of wood . Preferablly I would like it to be 6'long 4' wide and 8' high . I would like to put it about 12'-16' high . I've seen them in Cabela's but they wanted $1300.00 .
Thanks

You can buy them here in the Park Rapids area for around $800.00. Built mine on my property for $500.00. They are simply to build depending on how fancy you want them. Mine have sliding plexiglass windows etc.

We have two stands made out of scaffolding. They are 10-12 foot off the ground and have a lot of room inside (6'x 8') We used plywood for walls and put carpet in it to keep it quiet. Might check with some construction companies in your area.
We bought some that are 4x4 and 12' high at the floor from a guy (WC MN, friend of a friend, side job) who welds them out of angle iron. Extremely sturdy, and we put treated plywood for sides, and treated 2x4(6 or 8) for floor. I think he sells them for about $150 or $175 without wood. He also has a top roof that can be bolted on if we want that. These work great. Maybe a local welder could do the same for you. I don't have pattern, but the base legs are wider than the box at the top, and it is EXTREMELY solid. With it being 4x4, it is perfect for one person, but too tight for two. It is nice that there is essentially no waste on the wood when you cut and put it in. It made my mornings quite comfy this year :)
Good luck!
