View Full Version : White Cover-Ups For Saskatchewan Whitetails
I am going on a trophy whitetail hunt in Saskatchewan after Thanksgiving during the last week of their season, which lasts into early December. It will be below zero by alot.
I am very well prepared with my oversized clothing layers but it really bulks me up. I need to find a very large set of white outer layer to go over my parka and bibs--maybe 3XL even though I normally wear XL when I am not in so many layers. My outer layer parka and bibs will be 2XL. I am not having much luck finding anything.
Can anyone suggest someone on the internet that sells a white outer layer for Canadian whitetail hunts?

A cheap alternative would be a bunny suite like they use in the Hospitals. You could wear your clothes under.

gemplers.com is an industrial/agricultural supply house. I get spray suits from them when spraying the orchard. They have different grades, thicknesses etc. including tyvec. Most go up to 4X or 5X. I see one listed in my catalogue that is DuPont breathable, hooded for about $8. They are pretty sturdy, throw them away when they get worn out, easy to pack 2 or 3 for a trip.
Good Luck on those bruisers up there, that is a dream trip in the works for me someday.

The Cabela's Waterfowl catalog (page 160)list a white waterproof cover suit, a lightweight 7 oz. cotton coverup and a Canadian coverup made from 8 oz. polyester. Just depends on how many trips you plan to take to Sask.. Get the good stuff if you plan on going more than one year. I'm leaving Nov.13th on my third trip up there. It's a pretty neat part of the world to hunt whitetails.

I bought a thin over sized outfit out of Cabelas. Color was outfitters snow. I have not had a chance to use thme yet as never no snow in early-mid Nov.!!! Good luck.
I ended up getting the Cabela's Canadian cover-up parka and pants in white. The 2XL fits nice over my usual XL bibs and parka. They were very quiet and not restrictive. I was very happy with them for the money.
I appreciate all the great relpies. I shot a heavy beamed 11 pointer with that typical dark Canadian color that I am real excited about. Thanks.
