Hi all -
I am attempting to set up a moose hunting trip in '06 to go on with my Dad. I'm wondering where the most productive place is to go. I'm not particularly concerned about price of license (but I don't really care to pay $1,200.00 for a license either). I'm more concerned about success of getting drawn in a non-resident lottery situaion and finding an area that has good moose population.
Currently, I am trying to decide between hunts in Montana, Wyoming, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan. Does anyone have any experience with huns in these areas? I know that Ontario and Saskatchewan at least require guides for non-resident hunts, does anyone out there know of a good outfitter in one of those places?
This post is starting to get a bit winded, so I'll cut it short here. Again my preferences are in this order:
1. Area that contains a good Moose population
2. Success of being drawn
3. Price
thanks in advance,
Northerner
