Hello,

I am new to Wyoming and live in LAramie. Can anyone give me any information of pheasant hunting in Wyoming? Any areas, etc would work best. I had heard about a controlled hunt by Torrinton, I think it was Springer?. I have also heard arounf Riverton is good hunting. Any info would be appreciated.

Wyoming pheasant hunting around Torrington can be good. Get ahold of the latest copy of the Walk In Hunting Guide from a license agent. Wyo plants birds at a lot of places. Springer is one of them. Riverton is another. The plants are not too smart and get hammered fast. Wild birds are a bit harder to come by in Wyoming. Most will be on private land. The Walk In Guide should get you started. Good luck.

I believe there is (or used to be) a planted bird hunt at Glendo too.

You can walk on at Glendo on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, Hunting closes at 4:00, Limit 9 birds a season, The G & F also plants alot of the walk-in areas around Torrington.
