Colorado Opener

Well, scouted out some walk in stuff out east for three days and hunted only 1 day but I seen lots of birds this yr. Colorado is not known for Good bird hunting but I think all the rain we got early in the spring/summer really helped the birds and fields get back to normal. I wish someday we can have a bird population like our neighbors Ne.,Ks.,Ok. shot a couple of birds by 10:30 and had to hit the road home. Boy that work just gets in the way sometime.

just wondering how everybody else did? Hey neighbors hows the hunting?

Will be going to Kansas next week, I'll report back after the weekend. I was there for opening weekend and it was phenomenal!

Hey wheels, I was in Ks. Last weekend and we shot the crap out of the quail. We where finding 6-8 Coveys in an hr.& 1/2. We ended up with 120 quail in the bag. It was the frist time in years we where able to do this.For years we would only shoot a couple of birds out of a covey and move to the next covey. This year birds are all over the place. It felt like we where hunting Texas. Gearing up to make another run down there. Happy Hunting ! How's that pup doing?
