Kinda wondering what is the best time of the day, year, ect for cranks, and what cranks produce better when, and in what situations. Thanks in advance for any info.

Yup, any time there is open water cranks will produce! My best producer would have to be a shad rap. they work all year and can be used almost anywere, casting or trolling.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
I threw Shadraps until those Tail Dancers came out last year. We do an Ontario trip for the opener the 2nd Sat. of May, I caught most, biggest, for the week. Rice Lake, shallow, we fish the weed lines. I fish (that week ) with 10-15 pretty good sticks, early (pink light, or no light ), and then the last 3-4 hrs. before dark. Depends on the lake you're on, but I cast alot, probably why my shoulders are so screwed up. Should sue Rapala, but can't wait to try these new jointed #5. Hey Ranger, 'gonna have to find that HOOTERS soon !

Use cranks to eliminate unproductive water. Use cranks all day every day! Just tweak presentations.
