Pheasant chicks

They are starting to show up along the roads here in SW Minn. Should be another good year for bird hunting. Pretty good conditions for the hatch and I have seen some big broods, 8 to 14 chicks. Also some mowing has been done and disturbed the road ditches so the hens have to start over. Mike

I get into some discussion with the area farmers, some have some cattle some don't, the one's without let the one's with cut for feed. I tell them it would be nice to let it stand until the 15 of August but they say it turns dry and then is no good. All in all it looks like a real good year for bird hunting. Mike
