I saw an interesting topic on a different site and thought I'd get it rolling here also. In preparing for a bird trip, what things do you throw in that are out of the usual, or something typically forgotten.
One of the best things I've seen is a list of closest vets in the area to be hunting in case of a dog emergency. Super glue is another good one.
"Friends don't let friends fish for trout!"
Zip lock with clean underwear and TP that you slide in your coat pocket or gamepouch or backpack :) My buddy needed one a couple years ago! Luckily, I have not yet, but since then I always have it with ;)
For the forgotten things, the list of vets is key. Also, more than two pair of gloves, a can of gun scrubber, and a good first aid kit for both human and pooch.

Zach got caught in barb wire - actually somehow just a barb went in his toe and he stopped in his tracks between the wires. (with some yelping of course)
I had a leather man and the quickest remedy was to cut out a section of the wire. (it happened to be a very old fence out of service!)
I could see the same situation with getting tangled up in some loose wire.
