Dog trailer

I was wondering who uses a tow behind dog trailer? What do you like dislike etc.

I have always used dog crates in a S.U.V.

Now with 2 dogs it's getting harder to fit everything in the Yukon. Not to mention the wonderful oder a wet or skunked dog can produce.

I use one Ivy and just love it! Like you said, no more wet dogs in the motels,houses,ect. Plus the best part is they love there box. In the morning when I go check up on them you put your hand inside there box and it's warmer then the motel.
The best part about the trailer is you can keep it packed with your gear and never forgot anything . That used to be a problem with me and partners forgetting things. Now all I have to do is pack my food/beer ,load the dogs and we are off to the playground.

The dislikes.......Ice on the roads, super muddy roads and polished the trailer back up but don't let Swede know that I'm polishing my dog trailer :) (Just an old joke that he got me on last yr.)

I was curious. Did you buy a trailer for your current needs? i.e. if you have 2 dogs a 2 dog trailer. Or did you buy a larger one in case you had other dogs from other guys etc.

I bought one just a littlr bigger then I needed. Price was right!
Now, I'm glad I did. My Partners use the extra holes and if not I used them for storage. If you have two dogs I would buy a 4 hole min.
A 2 hole trailer in my part of the woods would be hard to resale.
If you want a two hole then buy it,but don't look at reselling it.

Good luck on your choice. Look in other dog forums for a used one. lots of guy's are dumping trailers because most of the quail have died off. Most of the quail diehard are sick and selling off equipment.
