I'm located north of Green Bay WI and am starting to look for a pair of brittanys this spring. If anyone has any leads on litters planned for the spring I would be interested to hear. I'm not against traveling for the right dogs.

Have you checked with AKC to find breeders in your area ?

Yes I have. There are a few, but I'm not looking to limit my search to the local area. I was more looking for someone that has had some experience with a breeder. I have the time to travel to pick up a dog if necessary. I might even like to have a reason for a trip this spring.

Hey,
I have a six year old female Brit...she is a great house pet, easy to train, a very fine pheasant hunter, a great personality, agressive in the field and might "lick you to death" but would never bite.
I got her at Tainter Creek Brittanys from Bruce and Sue Ristow (retired teacher and Brit fanatic!). He lives near Soldiers Grove and can be reached at taintercreek@centurytel.net
His phone number is 608 624 3296
I have not talked to Bruce in about 3 years, so if any of this info is out of date, feel free to contact me at drleer@charter.net
Good luck...Brittany's are the best!

Well it looks like I have found what I was looking for and if all goes well I will be driving to Minnesota this weekend to pick up the newest members of the family.

Everything went well and I have 2 new puppies at home. My 12 year old shorthair has really taken to them and is having fun trying to keep up with the puppies. We picked them up at Lakeside Brittanys in Maple Lake MN. I will have to get some pics posted as soon as I get them off the camera and on the computer.

I also have a Brittany from Bruce and Sue at Taiter Creek Kennels. It is the nicest dog I have ever Had. Great family dog and even better in the field. They have awsome Brittany lines!!

Nice looking dogs, I too have a pair of Brittanys (6&7 year olds). Just picked up a GLP pup last week. I'm looking for another outstanding upland bird season.
