I don't have any current temp readings, but I have to believe the water here in central WI is relatively warm. We are about to get a fairly cold stretch of weather that would normally freeze things up pretty fast, but I am wondering if it will take longer due to warmer water temps? I would assume so, but I've ben wrong before....

Water temp. here in SW MI yesterday was 39 on the lake I was fishing (actually went up a little last week). Won't take long to lose another 7 degrees. A week of cold nights will take care of that. Of course it's relative to the thermal mass of the lake. Last year, Thanksgiving week was the end of open water here. Won't be long unless we warm up again.

Schultz Lake just outside of Duluth has 1 inch all across, and now we have a stretch of cold weather coming on! Should be 3 inches by the end of the weekend with any luck.
