Use the WALLEYE CENTRAL BUSINESS DIRECTORY "Skeeters Stuff" under marine supplies (boat cleaning supplies), it really does work.

29" off the tip of Picnic point (20'-50' of water), Lake Mendota, Madison WI. Winter 1995.
On what started as a clear full moon night, with the moon rising over the capital on the east. Clouds rolled in from the west with thunder snow. Between 1-2 am we caught 18 walleye with the big one jigged up (Nils Master in Perch color). Most of the rest were caught on tipups.
An awesome night.

At our tackle shop we had a 15 pounder on the wall that came through the ice of Gull Lake(Brainerd, MN). It was a beast, I'm guessing the hole was bigger than 8 inches.

Since there is six times as much water as dry land on earth, any fool
can plainly see the good Lord meant for man to fish six times as much as he works.

Biggest Wally through the ice is 9-1/2 lbs on
Mission Lake, Ft Qu Appelle Saskatchewan. 8" hole.
Sun had just gone down. Stopped at an open hole before heading to shore for the night.
Truth is, I would be lucky to catch 5 walleye during the hard water season. Mostly fish for pertch during winter. Wally in my area want nothing to do with me during winter.
Thank your Walleye Central for having a place for me to hang out. This site has been a wealth of information for all subjects.

Winter 2005 Lk Thompson, SD 7.5 lbs.
Don't know how she got this big as she was blind in one eye. Most likely since birth because there was the thin skin like that over the cheeks grown over it. Don't know why she bit on my jig as she had a 2" tail fin of a "yellow bellied rubber pike" sticking out of her gullet. She could not have swallowed minnow on my jig.
Must have had a cronic eating disorder.

10 pounder through a 7" hole. We had lost 3 previous walleyes because they were too big. When I got this one started, my wife said we weren't going to lose this one and stuck her hand down in the icy water up to her shoulder and stuck it into that mouth full of teeth and pulled it up through the hole. She was determined because our 10 yr old son had originally hooked the fish and turned the line over to me.
