Many times my friends and I enjoy tip-up fishing for walleyes. While tip-up fishing we try to find things to do. We always like to go tubing behind a snowmobile, cooking on the grill, playing cards, or a game of catch with a football.
What do you for extra fun on the ice?

I guess while you guys are doing all that I am watching my underwater camera! I love it. Never know what you may see. Yes we do have a feast on the ice once in awhile, it really fun and the food tastes better for sure! Skeeter
Use the WALLEYE CENTRAL BUSINESS DIRECTORY "Skeeters Stuff" under marine supplies (boat cleaning supplies), it really does work.

All of the above, plus my family all likes to ice skate, too. So we bring a shovel if the ice is good. Although I've found ice skates wreak havoc on tip-up line!

Although we always bring things for "the kids", it is often the adults playing the games.
The previous suggestions are good. My best afternoon for non-fishing activities on the ice was a nice, calm afternoon. One guy brought some model rockets!! What a hoot. Let 'em rip, and chase 'em down. Reload a new engine and go again. "The kids" loved it.
A couple of empty spray bottles and some food coloring mixed with water, and the little artists can start coloring the ice.
I like the spray bottle/colored water idea....and for yellow you can just use yellow snow.

No one brings barley pop? You want fun, watch your buddy run after a tip-up, after a few... its priceless.

I like to tie a dead minnow to the end of line on jig pole. Drag it aobut 30 yds from the shack and wait until a crow tries to eat it,drag it away or wait until it tries to fly away with it and pull it away. It is very entertaining, but I am easily amused.

LOL....
I always have to warn any new partner I might be fishing with that I talk to myself...ALOT. Sometimes I even argue.

the good part about such arguements is i always win!!....even when i debate wether i'm the greatest ice fisherman alive, the greatest perch fisherman alive, or the greatest salmon fisherman alive...i usually dont argue the greatest walleye fisherman alive because i fished with rick lacourse....and i know better...but i'm catchin up to you rick in my dreams...and thats a good start..steve
When it's all of us guys...(most common) we have Auger races and wild game feeds during the day and a poker tourney that lasts through the night all including the fishing tourney of first fish and biggest in each class. When I take the kids they like to ice skate and then they always seam to create their own game of curling.
