Where on a lake do you think is the best bite after first ice?

Generally, where I fish, the bays & cuts have the first safe ice & it's also the best place to get some panfish. There's usually some walleye & pike hanging around, too. Everythings pretty shallow then, weedlines & break lines, usually.
Then by the time the ice gets safe on the main lake, I'm working my way out to where I left them in the late fall. The points & humps.......
