I have a 1060 and really like the house. It probably takes a little more time to set up than some of the flip over models, but it has plenty of room and folds up into a nice size that fits in the box of my F150 Supercrew with the tailgate shut. One thing I found that works really well to set it up (especially in windy conditions is to use the grommets in the four corners of the house and lag screw them into the ice prior to raising the shelter (I bring along a cordless drill and it works great to run the lag screws into the ice). From there it goes up pretty easy.

Thanks

How is it holding up over time.

Actually the house is holding up very well and we have used it quite often. Now we are just waiting patiently for good ice so we can get back out again.

I just bought a discontinued 1060 for $299 and am excited to try it out. I have a 3 person flip over but the bugger is sooo heavy and clumsy that I can't fit it into my Yukon. This one will easily go into the Yukon.

I'll have to get the ice screws as you mentioned with the cordless drill, sounds like a great idea!

I've been using the 5600, which is a smaller version of the 1060, w/o any problems. Like it a lot. Seems durable.
