Anyone have a good recomendation for a heater? I have a Paulin, and even on low setting (8,000 BTU) it is sometimes too hot (plus it takes up too much room). I have tried a Coleman that is 3000 BTU, and that is not enough on real cold days. I would like something adjustable in the 4,000-10,000 BTU range (roughly). I only want to run the 1 pound cylinders, not a bigger tank. I have looked all over and can't find anything. Any suggestions?

The Little Buddy heater should have a 4,000 and 8,000 btu setting and is what I use in my portable. When it gets really cold I switch to my sunflower type heater.

I saw the Little Buddy heater, and it looks nice, I just didn't like the 8 pounds it weighs (Does it really weigh that much?) I have scoured the net and have come to the conclusion that there are NO other heaters in that BTU range however.

It might weigh 8 lbs if you have a tank on it? or you could be reading about the larger version of the buddy heaters that take two tanks. I have a smaller buddy heater and it works great for my ice shack (8'x4' frabill) and there's no way it weighs 8 lbs on its own. Good luck!

Thump,
Go with the bigger MrBuddy. Here is my reason, I had the smaller unit and when it got cold you would would loose heat due to the single bottle running low and always turning off. If you get the bigger MrBuddy, it can hold 2 bottles (or you can get kit to fit 20# bottle) when you run the Big MrBuddy on Low or Medium your only taping off 1 bottle. When you run at Max heat you use both bottles.
