Hey guys want to put out my big house on saturday by detroit lakes just wondered if any one has been out and if there is plenty of ice!! Let Me know

From what I'm hearing in the area, lots of guys walking out, and a few on wheelers or sleds on smaller lakes. Very variable ice conditions though. There was some thaw/refreezing up there, so some lakes have 6 inches in one spot, and only a couple in others. I know guys have portables out on Deadshot Bay and Little Detroit, but can't give ice depths for sure beyond 'walkable.' Try calling Quality Bait and Tackle in DL. They'll know what's up.

Lots of water on the ice today as the temps were well over 40 nearing 50. A buddie was in the area and noticed lots of water on top.
