They have two different models of this stuff Ice Armor (original) then the new Ice Armore X. So what is the difference?

The new X is more insulated than the original the cost is also about $50.00 more. Cold weather get the X worth the extra money

Hiya -

The X suit has an additional zip-out liner on the parka, and the bibs can be conerted to pants if you want. Other than that, the two suits are identical as far as features.

I got a set of the X gear late this fall, and used it for the tail end of open water and early ice. Love the stuff so far. Very warm, very waterproof, can move in it (doesn't bind up) and it breathes so you aren't wearing a sauna suit. Padded knees are nice for kneeling on the ice.

Just for versatility's sake I'd get the X suit. The liner is actually a pretty nice jacket on its own...
