We have plenty of early ice in WI. thanks to the deep freeze, everything north of Appleton has been getting fished and even the Poygan, Winnebago "Bays" are iced but still be carefull. Northwaters are good to go in most areas as long as you tread light! Enjoy.

Hayward area measures 4-8" depending on lake.

Not to be a downer, but with the predicted forecast that ice is going to slowly diminish....was out today, and the water is starting to build on the ice....some more warm temps and wind blowing that water and ice around isn't going to help anything.....they're not predicting colder weather here until next wednesday......i hope much sooner
