What do you folks do to keep your minnows alive ? I have a bubbler from a fish tank to keep them going, that works for awhile, I know you can NEVER add in tap water to the bucket, the chlorine will kill em . I have a friend that puts snow in the bucket (Just a little) and he says it adds oxygen ???? I`m trying something right now that I was told by the son-in-law,This is for when you know they won`t make it. you add some rubbing alcohol to a baggie, put in a dozen still kicking minnows, after they stop you empty the alcohol and freeze them ?? They are supposed to be good to go, the jury is still out on that one. What do you folks do ??

I refresh the water every day with well water and leave the bucket near the back door where it's cool. Been times I've kept minnows for over a month. I take out the dead ones, one or two every other day and refresh the water. The minnows all ways last till I go through them.

FishingND does the same. I know it works well for Gary. I need to try this as minnows can get rather expensive. Can you keep red-tails alive in the sump well?

So far any type of minnow that I have put in the sump pit has survived.
