want to go to simcoe but don't know where to start. Anyone know who does a good job of tring to put you on perch? and how about combo trips for perch and whites. thanks for the info.

are you talking lake simcoe here in ontario? If you are try this site
www.lakesimcoe.tv it should help. You would wanna go to cooks bay and fish there for numbers not too many jombos this year.

From my experience (I've fished there allot since 1998) there haven't been allot of Jumbos in Simcoe in the last 3 or 4 years. I fished the Pefferlaw side, and the Cooks bay side, and talked to allot of guys this winter. As one guy from Mich. wisely said, "Don't throw away that 8.5"er, it may be your whopper for the day!"
We caught much better fish in Erie off of Sturgeon Point, and when I was at the NW Angle of MN this last month, it was the best ice fishing (Perch, and Walleye) I've had in 5 or 6 years.
