The perch you have laying on the ice / snow ...or those typical of Lake Erie? I expected larger fish I guess. Here in SD, we throw em back if they are under 11"........12-14" typical.

Here's some pics from Snowbank Lake in the BWCA 25 miles Northeast of Ely, Mn- Literally the end of the road:driver:

We lasted for about four hours, but it was so cold my buddy heater couldn't keep us warm enough. The Vexilar was showing alot of Lakers too (about 80 feet down), but they weren't biting for anyone.

I know they don't look it, but none of those Lake Erie perch are under 10"! Pictures can be decieving, although we do sometimes have to keep some smaller ones though because pulling perch up from 60 feet usually does them in because of their air bladders.
Here's like a regular catch from Erie (you can see the bladders on some of them);

I know they don't look to be of any size, but here's the bottom on next to a ruler;

Here's a picture of a 13lb 3oz walleye;

And here's a 10lb 2oz. which looks bigger !!
