I like a big drill but I like it light weight, who makes the lightest 10 incher?

Unless I'm mistaken, Strikemaster, Jiffy, and Eskimo all use Tecunseh engines so the weight will be pretty close. I'm a 9 inch guy, tip ups don't fall through like with a 10 but it's a huge hole compared to an 8. I'm very happy with my Stikemaster, mostly because the auger spins slower and doesn't throw slush all over like my old Jiffy. The 2 hp are just as fast as the 3 hp heavy ones.

I`m gonna guess its the Strikemaster Mag2000. I had a Mag 2000 8" that was a great auger. Good Luck

Jiffy's new STX Pro has a 2HP engine (Tencunseh) and now you can get the 10" blade with it. The total weight is 28lbs. That's 2+ lbs lighter then last years STX with a 9" blade. The difference is made up in the gears (I believe). Look us up at the Ice show this weekend in St Paul (11/30 - 12/2)

The Strike Lite is not available in 10 inch. The lightest one would be the new Jiffy.

The Jiffy STX pro is the lightest 10" auger on the market and I can tell you after drilling a 10" hole with a 2 hp engine, It is way faster than what it was on the monster 3hp motor. Jiffy did a great job on the new transmission!
