anyone use one of these two clam shelters?....i have a big tent...ottersled magnum but it is very hard to pull and want a more mobile unit...lookin at the smaller clams and these two are both one-man units..the pro-sport is slightly larger than the scout and i think i'd like that one...anyone fish from either or both?...would appreciate any info...steve

I have the Pro, and it doesn't pull too hard. My buddy has the Scout and it looks crowded in there.

Go with the Pro, more elbo room and if need you could squeeze a kid in with you.

Definitely go with the Pro. I put 1" x 1" plastic runners on mine (not the Clam ones, which are flatter/wider). It pulls very easy and it also fits on the back of my small ATV. I would not want to fish from anything smaller. I would highly recommend some type of runner and the $40 cover. The cover keeps it all locked in if pulling behind ATV or sled. It also is handy if you use a power auger. If I am just hopping around in a small area and lay the auger on the sled, I put the cover underneath the auger to catch any gas, oil, grease, etc. Cover gets dirty, but the trap canvas stays clean. The extra room is well worth the extra bit of weight.

The pro actually has the same size sled as the scout. The pro is rotated 90 degrees and the poles are telescopic. The scout does gett crowded. 2 houses I like that are similar in size are the guide and the X1.

My otter was tuff to pull too but I wouldnt give it up even if i break a sweat, I put the hyfax runners on,that helped I alo down sized my propane tank to a little one and that made a night and day difference now it not to bad to pull.
