Tried my auger this weekend. Starts up runs for awhile and then dies. Is there something I should add to the fuel to perk it up?

Sounds like the diaphram. Costs about $5 and takes about 10 minutes to replace. Very common problem.

Could be a plugged vent in the fuel tank cap. Loosen the cap on the fuel tank and try it. Some caps have a screw that you have to loosen also.

Try emptying the old gas and putting new gas (91 octane) with some Seafoam in it and a new plug and see if that doesn't work. Always works for me.

My auger does the same thing every year. I take the carb off and clean the screan and the bowl and spray down all the fuel ports. I have to do this every year regardless of the seafoam or stabil i put in it the year before.
