Looking for a good panfish lake somewhere in Minnesota to take a few day ice fishing trip with the boys. Have wheel houses and portables so we don't need a lodge just a place where the kids can catch a fair number of gills or crappies!
Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Consider Minnetonka. Not only does it have very good panfish and larger gamefish, there is just about any other kind of diversion that might suit the kids should a break from fishing seem necessary. You can also get a room at a motel for a base or in an emergency, if the weather turns nasty enough that warm beds and showers would be welcome. Should something break repair and/or replacement is also handy.
You can rough it or not as you wish. And there will almost always be other fishermen around to point you to places to set your house.
