I have a 2007 Starcraft Superfisherman the fuel guage seems to be stuck on Full all the time can anyone shed any light on what the problem could be? My dealer is 2.5hrs away and I would like to try and resolve the issue without towing the boat all that way.
Possibly the float is stuck in the tank, or more likely a grounding issue.....did it just quit working or always been this way?

I had the same problem on my lund, to check the gage take it out and disconect the pink wire on the I terminal and then turn yor key on if the gage reads empty it is not the gage. Reconect the wires , next disconect the wires from your tank sending unit and turn the key on if the gage reads empty it is the sending unit in the tank, if it still reads full you have a grond in the wires running to the tank. You ca check the sending unit by tacking it out of the tank and using a ohm meater and move the arm up and down and see if the readings change.
Good Luck
